Your hotelier is Dr. Jane Liedtke. Jane purchased the former Penobscot Bay Inn and formed the new business: Belfast Breeze Inn, LLC in 2015. Renovations took place during the winter-spring of 2015 with the goal of creating a warm and welcoming Inn and Lodge with a tip of the hat to music (particularly live jazz, blues, and folk performances), her life in China (collecting antique furnishings), and culinary interests (with cooking classes, supper club, and dinner shows).

Jane is originally from New Jersey where she began her career as an Industrial Technology Teacher. She first came to Maine in 1978 as an instructor at the University of Southern Maine. After graduate school, professor positions in Oregon and Illinois, and a 10-year stint in Beijing, China as an executive coach and corporate trainer of Industrial Management to US Fortune 500 companies, European/Scandinavian firms, and Chinese government organizations, Jane returned to retire from her corporate and non-profit life. For 15 years she also led a non-profit organization dedicated to providing Chinese culture travel/programs/learning for children adopted from China living throughout the globe. This included orphan-support projects in China at government and non-government orphanages. She returned to Maine in 2010 to renovate/manage Bay Leaf Cottages & Bistro in Lincolnville Beach. Five years later she has engaged in this new venture.
